This news is a couple weeks old now, but it came along before I'd set up the Weblog and it's probably worth saving (as such things go). DigiScents, Inc. is a company dedicated to the idea that it should be not only possible but *desirable* to deliver what they call "scent" over the Internet. I think if you substitute the word "smells" for "scent," though, you'll have a better handle on the way things are likely to develop....
